Las Vegas LASIK cases filed

November 16, 2008

A Las Vegas eye doctor bilked dozens of patients by advertising licensed laser vision surgery that he never delivered, according to a lawsuit filed this week. In the lawsuit, which seeks class-action status, plaintiffs claim that Dr. Vikas Jain and his wife, Dr. Anamika Jain failed to provide the advertised flat rate fee for the procedure or to use board certified ophthalmologists, another claim allegedly made in advertisements. Dr. Vikas Jain has been the subject of at least 17 malpractice lawsuits and is not licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, according to reports.

November 7, 2008

More than 1,000 plaintiffs with asbestos-related claims pending against a Missouri company face an uncertain future following the announcement that the maker of heat-resistant products has filed for bankruptcy protection. Mesothelioma Victim Challenging Court Ordered Autopsy

November 7, 2008

Supreme Court hears arguments in Prescription Drug case

November 5, 2008

The Supreme Court did not appear to tip its hand Monday in considering Wyeth v. Levine, a case with major implications for those harmed by federally approved drugs. Reports seem to indicate that the case may turn on the question of how the Food and Drug Administration handled Wyeth’s attempts to change the labeling on the drug that caused the amputation of Diana Levine’s arm. Efforts by the Bush administration have sought to block such state-law failure-to-warn claims against drug manufacturers.

This case could have vast and damaging impact on injured persons across our nation, including to those who take recalled and faulty prescription drugs in Tennessee.

If you are looking for a lawyer in Tennessee to help you with your prescription drug case, including in Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Clarksville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, please call Tim Edwards and Ed Wallis today at (901) 527-4673, or email us by clicking HERE.
