Minor Settlement
March 21, 2009
Did you know that if a company asks to settle a claim with a minor, a court must approve the settlement? That’s the case in Tennessee, and a host of other states as well.
If you have accepted a settlement from a company, including but not limited to Advanced Bionics Corporation, related to pain or injury associated with a product failure (including the Advanced Bionics Clarion CI, CII, CII-x or HiResolution 90k / HiRes90k cochlear implant), and a court has not approved the settlement, please contact us today. You may be entitled to additional relief from the company.

Record Damages Awarded in Arizona Nursing Home Lawsuit
March 21, 2009
The family of a man who died in a Phoenix assisted living facility should receive $11 million in damages, an Arizona jury has ruled. According to the lawsuit, Liberty Manor Residency failed to properly monitor Earl Scherrer and falsified documents related to his care. An autopsy showed that Scherrer died of heart problems caused by ingesting foreign objects. The award is believed to be the largest ever against an assisted living facility.
