The Des Moines Register on July 29, 2010 reported that “The Iowa Hospital Licensing Board expressed reservations” this week “about requiring hospitals to report certain types of medical errors to regulators and the public,” with “some members” questioning “the usefulness of the proposed new reporting.” According to the Register, “The Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals wants hospitals to begin reporting to the agency all unusual occurrences that threaten the health of patients.” Currently, “Iowa is among 23 states that do not require that kind of reporting to a state regulator.”

As cochlear implant lawyers that have multiple clients from Iowa and are willing to travel to you to meet with you to provide a free, in-person case evaluation, we applaud any changes in law the help doctors do their job and protect the public.

It is believed that many persons in Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Nebraska received an Advanced Bionics Clarion or HiRes90k cochlear implant device, and it is likely that you or a loved one may have already experienced a cochlear implant device failure. If that is the case, we are glad you are here, and are ready to visit with you.

Advanced Bionics Cochlear Implant Recall Attorney

June 20, 2010

In 2004, Advanced Bionics recalled all unimplanted Clarion 1.2, Clarion II / CII and HiResolution 90k / HiRes90k cochlear implants. Symptoms of failure are popping, crackling, and possibly pain. The device may intermittently work or may stop and start working.

If your device has failed or may be failing, you could be entitled to cash compensation to help you with medical bills, pain and suffering, hearing loss, unnecessary surgery, lost wages and more.

Attorneys Will Provide a Free Case Evaluation to Recipients

Tim Edwards and Ed Wallis are attorneys who represent persons across the globe, including from coast to coast in the United States, in Canada and elsewhere, who received an Advanced Bionics HiRes90k cochlear implant especially from 2003 to 2006. Many persons have experienced a device failure for moisture or otherwise. Mr. Edwards and Mr. Wallis are representing both children and adults after their implants failed. Help may be possible for you.

At this time, if you received an Advanced Bionics HiRes90k cochlear implant that failed, you are entitled to a free cochlear implant case evaluation. We are helping others just like you and your loved ones, and are prepared to work tirelessly to help.

The failure of these implants is related to moisture intrusion in the device. Symptoms of failure include popping and crackling sounds inside of the implant. For young children, you may see the child remove the device suddenly and refuse to wear the device. Some children have experienced painful shocking sensations. These symptoms are applicable to both adults and children.

Please note that we work on a contingency fee if we are asked to represent you; there is no fee up front and there are no costs to you unless you recover from a judgment or settlement. There is no money down needed to talk to us

If you have experienced a cochlear implant failure, we would be honored to speak with you.
