May 27, 2014 · If it came off the back of the truck, then it is most likely the fault of the truck operator/owner if you can prove it. The chances of the truck noticing it happened, stopping and admitting fault are extremely low so once again life in the big city. (I just replaced a windshield that got smacked good by a rock kicked up by a passing truck.

I was on my way into work this a.m. moving eastbound on the QEW/403 at the Ford plant and got hit with a mindfield of debris coming from a dump truck about 5-6 car lengths ahead of me. Two chips on the drivers' side of the windshield and possible other damage occurred as a result of this.
